National Development Program Advisory Board

The U.S. Virgin Islands National Development Program Advisory Board exists to accelerate USVI’s athlete-to-international pipeline by providing high-signal strategic counsel, specialist expertise, and standards-based oversight of program performance. Our mission is to help the NDP build a consistent, safe, and competitive pathway—from identification and development through selection and international competition—while strengthening credibility with athletes, families, partners, and supporters. Our vision is a world-class, execution-ready development system that reliably produces prepared athletes, aligned coaches, and disciplined decision-making across field, box, and Sixes, while remaining true to the values of integrity, transparency, and service to community.

The Advisory Board focuses on a small set of operating priorities that drive outcomes: strategy and program architecture, high-performance standards and selection integrity, athlete welfare and risk management, coach and workforce development, and partnership and resource mobilization. We work through focused committees and time-limited working groups to pressure-test decisions, clarify standards, and deliver practical “decision products” that staff can implement—such as selection frameworks, scorecards, curriculum priorities, and partnership strategies. In doing so, the Advisory Board helps the NDP move faster with greater confidence, reduce avoidable risk, and continuously raise the quality and consistency of the athlete and family experience.
