National Team Application

Receiving the designation of USVI National Team member is a privilege that results from years of intensive, protracted effort and commitment to one’s personal growth and development in the sport of lacrosse. 

The commitment often places demands on the athlete that requires sacrifices and obligations that can only be measured by the satisfaction of knowing that once achieved you now represent your country in international competition against opponents of the highest caliber. It’s a serious endeavor for only the most serious competitor. 

The process of representing the U.S. Virgin Islands National Team Program on one of its National Teams is a multi-stage process that requires the athlete to pass through a series of screens or “gates” to be eligible to compete for a spot on one of its’ National Teams. It is highly competitive; extremely demanding; and incredibly selective. The objective of the program is to select only the best athletes that meet a set of exceedingly high standards that rival world class technical, behavioral and competitive athletic performance.
